TARGET GROUP: Screening Personnel
COURSE AIM: The aim of this course is to provide participants with skills and knowledge on how to deal with the screening of passengers and crew and their baggage and cargo or mail, e.g., security screeners, their supervisors and staff involved in implementing security procedures.
COURSE OBJECTIVES – UPON COMPLETION OF THIS COURSE, PARTICIPANTS WILL BE ABLE TO:
- Identify and classify dangerous goods
- Recognize dangerous goods labels and package specification markings
- Detect hidden dangerous goods in baggage
- Understand provisions for dangerous goods in the baggage of passengers and crew
- Follow basic dangerous goods emergency response procedures.
